Yesterday I had a conversation with someone who has been listening to my Keep It Simple With Renee
series on Word of Mom Blogtalk Radio.

She had some very good feedback about the things she has learned from listening to the show. But the 
one thing she told me that gave her an "epiphany" (her words) was the realization that she has a BIG 
problem with the "Shiny Object Syndrome" and her sponsors have never even mentioned this to her. 

In case you don't know what Shiny Oject Syndrome (SOS) is: it's when you are approaced by others with
their offers and you keep joining them thinking that, "THIS WILL BE THE ONE THAT MAKES ME MONEY." 
People who have SOS just do not know when to say, "No thank you. My plans are al set." It happens often
with those who are new or struggling marketers.

In fact, this person was thinking about joining another opportunity until she listened to my suggestions 
about sticking with one system until she gets some traction. 

So I invited her to our strategy group on Facebook so that she can begin learning some effective 
marketing strategies and to start filtering out the "shinies" that are distractions to her business.

My point here is, you do not need to chase the "Shiny Objects" if you have a system that you know is
working. You can have a successful business if you follow the people who know what they are doing and
are teaching others how they can become leaders too.
